My name is Brenda Carlsen and I am the author of "WASCANA'S AMAZING JOURNEY", illustrated by Doina Cociuba Terrano.
I write for children, but we all are enlightened when we read a book or are read to.
This book is about encouragement, healing, compassion and belonging.
I was interviewed on KONP radio, Port Angeles, WA on July 1, 2019. I shared with the listeners the creativity of the book, the story of Wascana, and how I was inspired to write this children's book.

Brenda Carlsen is the author of WASCANA'S AMAZING JOURNEY. Brenda grew up in Saskatchewan and played along the shores of Wascana Lake as a child.
Hundreds of Canada geese called Wascana Lake their home, as they do today. As a child, she would gaze into the sky at the hundreds of geese listening to their familiar HONK.
Brenda, a nurse for 40 years, has cared for and encouraged many children and others on their own flight and journey. READY! SET! GO!
